Well it has surely been awhile and I do have a lot I should blog about but unfortunately no pictures. (That's probably why I haven't been blogging) Anyways just to sum everything up: Ladd and I have moved to Washington DC for the summer for Ladd's work and it has been quite the adventure. It is really fun to be away with just him and me and only have each other to rely on for anything--it really has made us a stronger couple. On the other hand three weeks ago I moved back home to have the baby and I should have taken every body's advice to not get my hopes up to have the baby early because I definitely did get my hopes up and was hoping that I would have had the baby by now and be back to Ladd. My three older sisters have had all their babies 1-3 weeks early so I was thinking I would be one of them on the three weeks side. But I should not complain because my sister just barely had her baby and she was a week past her due date so I should just sit tight and be patient because I still have 2 1/2 weeks left to go. I do feel somewhat bad for myself because I am so far away from my husband and it has already been 3 weeks since I have seen him last and I miss him a whole lot. It has been nice though to spend some time with my family. There has been a few eventful things that have happened while I have been here. My great sisters threw me a baby shower and it turned out really good. Thanks everybody who came! My sister Melissa just had a baby girl on Saturday and she is really cute. They named her Jaeley. I have been able to work on our new apartment in Cedar City trying to get it ready for when we come home for the summer. There are a few other projects I wouldn't mind getting done before the baby comes but I am having a hard time getting motivation and energy to do any of them so maybe I will get them done. Anyways, that's basically all that has been going on. My life is uneventful right now but I have a feeling that really soon some things will happen that will be life changing so I should probably enjoy the slow life while I can!

Happy Birthday Ladd!!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY LADD!!! Ladd turned 23 three years old on the 16th! I feel like that is old for some reason but I know it's really not. My husband is still very young and I think he will be forever young. He is still bursting with energy and loves life everyday. We had a fun time...I made him "Crunchy Carmel Cookie Cake" (Ice cream cake) his favorite dessert and we were able to invite some of his friends over. I was able to surprise him with P90x, an exercise program and he was pretty excited. He has been wanting it for awhile. I also made a his special request of Cafe Rio Salads that we had for dinner. So we had a great time and I think he was pretty satisfied with his birthday. I'm never good with gifts or celebrations but I commend myself on making my husbands day a happy one. Happy Birthday Ladd.

Camping

For the Easter Weekend Holiday, Me and Ladd went with all of my family to Canyon Lands over by Moab to go camping. We all had a great time and went on a few hikes here and there and saw a few sites. The camping was really primitive. We slept in tents, had to live out of coolers, and we didn't have a bathroom so it was pretty much full on camping. Everyone decided that that kind of camping isn't that much fun with kids but me and Ladd had a great time (other than that I had to get up about 3 times a night to go to the bathroom) I guess we enjoyed our last time camping without having to take care of a little one. Even though some of the parents didn't like taking after the dirty kids the whole time, all the children had a great time and they all loved it! The weather was great except the morning we left--it rained and it was very cold. But I really love camping and so does Ladd even if it's a lot of work. Here are just a few pics of the trip.

This is Me and my sister Melissa. She is due one month ahead of me...yes, I know, I look two months ahead of her.

This is Newspaper Rock. It was pretty cool.

Alright so a couple of weeks ago we went to Mesa Arizona for Spring break for Ladd's work. Here are just a couple of pictures of what we did. We went to a spring training game and that was fun. The heat was hard to get used to coming from cold Cedar City to 90 degree weather. It was hot!
This is in our hotel room. This is probably one of the nicest hotels I have been in. It was the Hilton and we had a good time. Ladd's favorite part about the hotel was the all you can eat, hot breakfast every morning. (Thanks Platinum!) I was having a little fun and I locked Ladd out of the room on the 6 inch balcony for a little while.

On our way home we stopped by at the Grand Canyon. It was really fun because Ladd and I had only been there when we were little so we didn't remember it at all, so it was new to us. It was a site to see! We really enjoyed it and thought it was just amazing. We went with Landon and Sammy (Ladd's cousin) We had a fun time.

Just an Update

Well, blogging hasn't been my thing anymore which is obvious because of the lack of blogging but I have decided that blogging really is a good way to journal, so I have guilted myself to start blogging and jotting a few things down every now and again. Hopefully I will stay caught up a little better. I don't ever have any pictures anymore because my camera, sadly, is broken at the time, therefore I don't take any pictures. Just an update of what is going on...I am nearly 24 weeks pregnant and I already feel like my belly will pop at any moment! Ladd has started selling again so we are finally earning an income again:) yeah! Ladd and I are almost done with this semester of school and I am happy to say that I am actually enjoying school a lot. I have changed my degree again, once and for all to Family and Consumer Science/ Early Childhood Development. If things go as planned I should be done and graduated in May of 2010. Ladd on the other hand, still has at least three more semesters of his Bachelors and then he goes on to his Masters. (Keep up the great work babe!) Right now Ladd and I are on spring break enjoying the sunny weather of Mesa Arizona. He is working hard selling, while I am chillin' out at the hotel trying to catch up on homework. (so much for spring break huh?) However, we are still having a great time spending it with each other. Oh yeah, I forgot to tell about how I was able to go to Denver a couple of weeks ago with three of my sisters and my mom to visit my other sister in Denver. Our initial reason for going was to go to "Time Out for Women" sponsored by Deseret Books. It was really great and we all had a fun time together! We were able to find out some fun news while we were there also... 2 more of my sisters are pregnant! Andrea is due in September, and Emily is due in October, and then of course Melissa is due in June and myself in July. That makes four of us pregnant! Anyways, nothing else that I can think of is going on right now. Until next time, Peace.

O Happy Day!!

Hey everyone!! Just so ya'll know this is Ladd that has taken over the blogging. Laurie has been quite busy with school(maybe a little procrastinating) and everyone keeps mentioning that she hasn't updated her blog in forever so I thought I would help her out. So all you girls be nice to me if it looks and sound teriable. I just did the baby one I guess I should have done this one first, oops. We had a wonderful wedding, almost everything was perfect. If you ask me it was perfect, but if you ask Laurie the ribbon on the cake was the wrong color so we almost had to do a "do over wedding", just kidding.

Those of you who know Laurie, know that she isn't much for elaborating on her thoughts and feeling so i will go ahead and tell you what she is thinking in each picture.

In the picture to the right she is thinking,"O crap, did i leave the curling-iron on at grandmas." The picture on the top, her thoughts are,"O no, what did i get myself into, maybe if I smile the biggest smile my masseter muscle will let me, no one will know what i am thinking". Just kidding, she is the most amazing person I have ever met and I love her so much!!

Its girl! Can't you tell? Look how well she photos graphs already!! We went to the doctor and got our first glimpse of our baby girl. She's got us worried already though, she was moving all over the place and thrashing around. i guess that means she is going to be like her father, never holding still and never running out of energy.

The whole experience was exciting and actually very spiritual. Just being able to make out the shape of that tiny little body was amazing. I guess you could say we witnessed a miracle. We feel so blessed that God has blessed us and trusted us with one of his little spirits to raise and care for. (Any advice or help, preferably help, is welcomed:) We know she takes after her grandpa Hallows already, in atleast one aspect: using her toes for everything, including scratching her head.(left) We caught her in the act, as he foot approached her head.
