Bostyn's Blessing

This day was a very good day.  Bostyn was blessed by her Dad, Ladd on the day of our one year aniversary-September 27, 2009.  She was so cute (Thanks Melissa for letting us borrow Jaeley's dress) and she looked just like a little doll.  The blessing was great and it just filled my heart so much.  I love my baby Bostyn and am so happy Heavenly Father blessed us with a beautiful baby girl.  My sister asked me if this is what I expected to be doing on my one year aniversary and it definitaley was not but even though Bostyn came sooner than planned, we are so happy to have her in our life!

These aren't the greatest pictures of Bostyn in her dress but she was tired and ornery and we were in a hurry to get to church.

We went to a small park to have the dinner and it was great weather aside from the wind.  The food was fantastic thanks to everyone that brought something!  Thank you everybody for helping with the dinner!!!

Thanks Grandma Hallows for coming!!

I picked a playground so the kids could play and they were happy.

I thought this was so cute!! Jaeley swinging in the  big kids swing.

Cute

I just thought this was cute because Bostyn always likes to see what is going on and this is the doorway into our kitchen where Ladd was cooking.  She then fell asleep right there in the way.  I just think she is the cutest little baby ever, but of course I think that--I'm her mother:)

OUCH!!!

So this day probably had one of the saddest moments I have ever had.  Bostyn had to get her first round of vaccinations and she was so sad. She screamed louder than I had ever heard her cry and she had tears streaming down her face.  It made me tear up and about cry watching it.  She inhereted a new cry after that; she no longer had her little newborn cry but a full blown baby cry.  She has quite the lungs.  Obviously she forgot about it in a hurry because she was sure smiley afterwards which made me happy!

2 Months

So Bostyn is 2 months in these pictures on September 2, 2009.  She was getting pretty good at smiling but she wouldn't give us any good smiles this day.  I love my baby girl and am so happy that she is down here with Ladd and I.  She is such a blessing to us.  We can't help but to be happy when we are around her and when she is smiling at us.

The Last Day!!!

So this was the last day we were in Maryland.
We did make it to the Washington DC Temple but
failed to get pictures.  So I demanded of Ladd that we
go there one more time so we can get pictures of it to
remember.  He wasn't very happy that we had to
detour to the Temple before we left for Utah.  We left
that night and drove for 24 hours to Denver where my
sister Andrea welcomed us and fed us and let us crash
their for the night.  We were very thankful to get some
sleep.  Bostyn traveled ok.  Sometimes she cried a lot
and sometimes slept a lot and it all worked out ok and
we got home.  We were very happy to get home!!!
Ladd did an excellent job over the summer and he
deserved a well earned break.

First Swim

Alright so this is Bostyn's first swim.  We were in Maryland and she was nearly two months old.  Before this we took her down to the pool and just stuck her feet in and as soon as they touched the water, they sprang right up to her little body.  She did not like it and she definately didn't like the water this time either.  It was pretty cold because it wasn't a heated pool.  Also, as you can see in the picture, she didn't like the sun either.  She didn't get out of the apartment much thanks to her mother and so she didn't see the sun too many times.  Anyways, we haven't taken her back to the pool since then but hopefully she will like it a little better than the last time.
